Community Centres & Social Groups:
Farncombe Day Centre
Farncombe Day Centre plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for Godalming’s ageing population. The centre is run by an amazing team of ten staff and over 50 volunteers, led by the Centre Manager Annette Clark and Deputy Manager Tanya O’Donnell. The centre offers a range of services, at affordable prices, including a daily two–course lunch, coffee lounge all day, entertainment in the afternoons, hairdressing services, chiropody, minibus, and assisted bathing.

Guildford United Reformed Church
Guildford URC offers a range of friendly activities for adults in the local community, whether you would like to make new friends, meet others in a similar position or meet someone new. Every Wednesday from 10.30am – 12pm, they offer the Sunflower café, which provides friendly, interactive sessions for those living with dementia, their carers, and those feeling lonely. They also have a short mat bowls club, a walking group, a book club, community music, a film club, a lunch club and holiday at home. Speak to Jess Faure for more information.

Winton House Centre
Winton House Centre is based in the centre of Petersfield on the High Street. They provide a community cafe for you to relax and meet friends. Their information desk holds details about resources and services in and around Petersfield. They also run games afternoons, a dementia café, men’s cookery classes, exercise groups and bingo.

The Weybridge Centre
Weybridge Centre for the community is one of seven centres in Elmbridge for the community that offer a wide range of services, facilities and activities for those over 50. Activities and classes include yoga, computer classes, bingo, arts & crafts, outings, quizzes, scrabble, carers choir/singing group and much more!

Windle Valley Centre
The Windle Valley Centre offers older residents the opportunity to get involved in a range of activities. Held each Saturday from 2pm – 5pm, the Saturday Club offers a drop-in for tea and cake. Along with a range of dementia friendly activities, including music and movement, creative arts and cookery, bowls, boccia and magnetic darts, reminiscence activities, traditional board and card games, hairdressers, foot care and assisted bathing.

Surrey offers numerous activities for older adults, including social, creative, and physical options tailored to various mobility levels. Some of these include RHS Garden Wisley, Painshill Park, Winkworth Arboretum, Watts Gallery, Guildford Castle, Brooklands Museum.
